The "Seal" dinghy's home is at Sunderland Point, where I photographed it for dimensions for my reproduction Seal; "Plover".  >1 >2 >3 >4

Which was bought from Bill Bailiff's Character Boats at Overton, a splendid interesting mess of a place. My glass fibre basic hull was ready for picking up, 100£ paid over, and away we go.

A copy of the internal fittings was made, a nice paint job all round and the fittings in place and "Plover" is ready for a sail.

Following this succes, a friend and I lugged a Seal each upto Largs in Scotland, and did a tour of the Kyles of Bute. We then went onto East Lock Tarbert and crossed over to West Lock Tarbert on wheels. We rowed and sailed upto Tayvallich where we got a lift in a van to Ardrishaig. At this stage we bought and old SeaGull outboat to get us home against persistant contrary winds. We made the tour of the Kyles again and safely made it back to Largs, a good hol was had by all!
